I know this week's entry is super long, and I've already given you lots and lots of things to comment about, but I thought that as a welcome to all our new users (and those who have been with us for a while and are branching out to find new things to read), we should try a Giant Community Rec-O-Matic.

How it works: Comment here with a list of some of your interests, and the kind of community you enjoy reading and participating in. Then, once you've commented, read through the other comments and see what things other people are listing. If you see someone you think would be a perfect match for a community you admin or participate in, comment back to them and point them at the community!

So, given the loads of people dropping like flies off of my friendslist on LJ and coming over to DW, I've decided to go ahead and fully invest myself here.

Much as I'd like to just drop-kick LJ completely, I can't, as I've still got a good number of readers over there that I wouldn't want to do without. It sucks, but well, there you have it.

So, who am I?

I'm an artist- I work primarily in leather, doing masks and other accessory bits, but I also do digital artwork. hell, while we're at it, here- have a couple of samples:

   

Anyways, more importantly by far is what I'm looking for- namely help finding some things, not to mention potentially some new friends.

Like for starters, a good way to solve my problem- is there some decent way to get both Dreamwidth and LJ combined into a single reading page? Including locked/filtered entries I'd normally have access to on each individual page?

Also, I'm used to using Semagic for posting- any good similar client out there for DW?

I wrote up this Basic info/FAQ over at the other site.

Please feel free to copy/paste it anywhere on LJ, personalize it (I made reference to my own LJ activities; replace those with your concerns if you like), whatever. I don't need or want credit.  Actively prefer NOT to be credited anywhere outside LJ, in particular, though I don't suppose I have to tell y'all that.  I mean, considering why we're all here. :-)

A couple people noted that I didn't include the apparently-pending FB "Like" button, or the problems with pingbacks on locked posts. This was intentional, because I feared making a Wall of Text that nobody would read.  If you want to repost what I wrote and add it, though, cool with me.
