Access to LJ

Hi~.

I'm not sure if this kind of post is allowed here. If not, you can delete this post, mods.^^

Anyway, I haven't been able to access livejournal for like two weeks. Everytime I click, it says something like the server has too my users at the moment.

From its status page (http://status.livejournal.org/), LJ's apparently up and running.

So, is it just me? What should I do? I use both firefox 3.6 and IE, if it helps. Anyone know any way to contact LJ authorities so that I could let them know about my problems?

I hardly post but I have dozens of comms on my flist there that I read everyday. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, thank you, everyone, for your replies and suggestions!

I've tried upgrading to firefox 5, using IE, clearing the cache/cookies, and other suggestions, but none of them works for me.

More and more, I'm afraid I'm kinda resigned to the idea that I'll never see LJ again.

Anyway, I've emailed LJ support team and am waiting for their reply. And again, thank you so much, everyone! ^^

At a guess, I'd say your IP may be caught up in the anti-DDOS countermeasures. The timing is right, and if there were a bunch of zombified computers in your IP block, they may have blocked you whole hog to avoid further damage.

Checking with support SHOULD help. Good luck!

Yeah, IP block, I've been thinking the same.

However, my numerous emails to the LJ support staff have been ignored so far. Guess I have to give up LJ for good. *sigh*
