Our original friending meme was getting pretty overwhelmed, so I thought now would be as good of a time as any to get a new one started. If you have the time and inclination, feel free to go back through the introductions and comments at the old post. It seems like there was a good amount of meeting and greeting going on, which was very nice to see. Hopefully it will be just as successful the second time around!

I'd call weather a fandom. I always get so geeked out when a hefty scary system rolls into the area... if it's knockin' trees and ripping out power lines, I'm all over it :D

nods and it infuriates the snot out of me that The Weather Channel is intent on "weather-tainment" some days than Real Weather. They've been broadcasting "shows" now for the last 1:15 -- and I've seen every one of them a gazillion times. I'm fixing to go put in Harry Potter .....

The weather channel is about as useful for weather as MTV is for music videos. Blargh@'em. NOAA is my public source. Also helps that I have a private source for nasty weather... helloooo, FEMA connections! XD

They used to be good. And they do have their moments; but they've really gone down-hill since NBC bought them out. Just like, well ... you know ...
