Friending Meme, Part Deux: Electric Boogaloo

Our original friending meme was getting pretty overwhelmed, so I thought now would be as good of a time as any to get a new one started. If you have the time and inclination, feel free to go back through the introductions and comments at the old post. It seems like there was a good amount of meeting and greeting going on, which was very nice to see. Hopefully it will be just as successful the second time around!

That said, while I talk about a lot of "fannish" subjects, I'm not what I'd call particularly involved in "fandom" proper any longer. It's generally way too overwrought for me.

Other Interests: Filmmaking and film studies, popular culture, graphic design, web design, art of all kinds, literature, music, pretty people, writing, psychology, sociology.

What people can expect to find in your journal: My journal is a mish-mash of content, but tends to mostly skew toward popular culture and "fan" interests. While I do talk about my real life to a point, I am not what I'd call a "journaler," in that the bulk of what I post I do so because I think it would interest others. My blog is about sharing good shit, whether that be an amusing personal anecdote, some pretty pictures or useful links.

Anything else: Um, let's see. I'm currently in college (After about a 10 year hiatus, LOL), majoring in film studies with the intent to earn either a Masters or PhD, depending on how things go. When I first returned to school, I was majoring in web design; while I came to realise that wasn't what I wanted to do for a living, it nonetheless remains a major hobby. I also create icons and sundry graphics, although most of that has been posted to LJ in the past. I have a film review blog, but I've fallen down on updating it in recent months, as I became a bit overwhelmed by real life.

I'm the administrator and player in a pretty large pan-fandom RP over on LJ (And don't I wish I could move it), but I don't talk about it that often off the RP filter these days.

I'm usually very mellow and, in typical Libra fashion, am all about diplomacy over conflict. I've gotten old enough now that I give very little time and attention to internet drama—There are way too many other better things for me to spend my time focused on.

That said, I'm staunchly liberal and have no problem with (politely) telling you if I disagree with you or that you're offending me in some way. Also, I curse a lot. So, if you take issue with either of those things, you might have some issues with my content. I always welcome respectful debate, though.
