Community recs: non-fannish

I know, fandom's a lot of fun.  But Dreamwidth isn't only about fandom!  So let's spread some love.  Here are my favorite non-fannish DW communities--comment with yours!

[site community profile] dw_nifty : all the cool features about Dreamwidth that you might not otherwise find out about.

[community profile] fucking_meds : a place for people to complain (and share information about) meds they're on.
[community profile] actyourwage : so, we're all feeling the pinch, right?  This is a place to share hints on how to live within a budget.  It's about taking control of your finances and strategies for money saving and getting out of debt
[community profile] asperger
[community profile] homeeconomics101 : Tips and tricks regarding cleaning/budgeting/cooking...
[community profile] napowrimo : the DW com for National Poetry Writing Month.  Dead for now, but wait until next April.
[community profile] poetry : A community for sharing published poetry.  (I.e. your favorite stuff to read that you'd like to share, not stuff you wrote yourself.  Though I'm sure there's a com out there for poetry writing, too.)

Some of these are kind of quiet, but that may change with the influx of new people.  What about you guys?

I joined [community profile] art, but I am not posting yet because of the inability to upload images directly.

Now, Photobucket, Flickr, etc. are options, BUT. If I post there, I have to attach my Real Name to everything or risk making image theft way, way too easy. Yet, the whole reason I'm at DW is so I can have an Actual Private Journal and not have Facebook or Google or whoever feels like it/accidentally clicks the wrong button connecting Real Name and Journal Name for all the world to see.

So I haven't found a balance yet. When I do, I'll see y'all on the Art comm.
