So, I just moved over here from LJ.

 

I usually use Dreamwidth for roleplaying purposes, but after the....shall we say....shenanigans that Livejournal has been doing as of late, I decided it was time to pack my things and move.

 

 So....hi...?

....and the salt came out.

Yeah. I've had a mirror account here at DW for years, and at the first of the year, I warned my friends that with the move of all servers to Russia, we'd now be subject to Russian law. I stated then I would probably not renew my LJ account when it expired, but I was torn because so many of my friends and communities were *there* and not here.

But I never expected to be shut out of my own account with a 'agree to this or else' new TOS aggreement. In a way. I'm glad for the hard push out the door, otherwise I doubt I would have made the effort to get to know people in the DW community. :-)

Totally know that feeling all too well.


When I saw the "agree to this or else" thing, my reaction was "LAME" (as done by the Nostalgia Critic) and the move began.

Speaking of which...how big is your salt?

You got a jar of dir--salt? Mack truck salt? Godzilla salt?

Well, I'm not 100% convinced I know what you mean about salt--but I'd been on LJ for ten years and had posted over a million word of fanfic... So if by salt you mean upset/angry, I'd definitely put myself in Godzilla category. :-)

Well, I meant being upset about the whole "conform or else" thing.


I don't even know what I'm salty about, other than that new changing of the bosses..if you could even count that...
