S1 comments on DW?

Hi everyone,

I finally decided to play around with the layouts and themes and custom CSS on DW. I'm using Flexible Squares/Machine + custom css. The problem I'm having is that the background colour for the comment preview subject and body is black, same as the colour of input text. This makes it impossible to enter text correctly. I'm not sure what the problem is, and I'm new at CSS. Can someone point me to the right places to ask these questions?

Also, is there a DW layout that mimics LJ's pre-v88 S1 layout? I'm not talking about greasemonkey scripts to make DW look like LJ, because afaik that doesn't change how others view your entries.

Thanks!

For your second question, Tropospherical Red and Tropospherical Purple are the closest to the old style comment pages from LJ. There is no blue variant as such. There's a Stylish code that will give you a blue version, but it will only work on your computer, not as an "everyone sees this" experience.

You can change your site skin here, at the bottom of the options. The preview images show what each looks like. Honestly, I'd be primarily concerned about how it looks to you. One great thing on DW is that there is a "sticky" option for viewing entries, and each user can set that for themselves. I have mine set to "site skin" for that option. No matter what page I click on DW, even if it's in someone else's journal, it's always always always going to be in Tropo Purple for me.

Where are you having the input text problems at?
