The world one will totally be inclusive of the US, I know one of the more broad/generic ones on LJ always got a decent amount of US posts, so once people start finding it and everything, it should be useful for that as well! Advice on routes to take, or things to do in whichever US cities and whatnot, definitely fair game for world_travel! ^__^
